At least send me a message telling me I’m okay, or just tell me you’re going to drop me.

Don’t give me these mixed messages right up until the last possible moment! If you’re going to drop me, I need to know so I can move on.

Otherwise I’ve got class to attend. Stop jerking me around!

Augh!

If you’ve already paid for a S.o.t.S., please contact me as soon as you can to schedule a day to complete it.

I’m changing the way I do S.o.t.S. as well as revising my commission prices and methods, and I want to clean out the queue of those that had paid in advance or move them to a separate queue in order to be fair to everyone on the list. I’ll have the new information up on Friday for S.o.t.S. and for the commissions when I actually open the queue which will HOPEFULLY be sometime this week if I’m not a lazy ass.

I WAS considering streaming today, but it’s a holiday and to be honest, I’ve spent most of today on the toilet already and that might be a problem for streaming. I really really don’t feel like it and I’m sorry.

Would the following people please contact me:

Kyre
JasonPaul
Fernin

We’ll get this sorted out. If you’re in the commission Queue and your commission is going to come up this week, we’ll stick to Tuesday, Wednesday and maybe Thursday afternoon. The new S.o.t.S. format will come up on Friday. Thank you for your patience and your patronage. I really appreciate it all. I’m still trying to learn how to be an effective artist and it means a lot to me that you guys will let me stumble through all this, trying to make a good experience for the rest of you. XD

Anyway! Stream tomorrow night after school! See you all then!

A few tips everybody should consider. I’ve experienced all those and some more. I’m not good at english but I hope you get it. Go and support some artists out there and let them draw you nice shit. Not as nice as FairyNekoDesu but still will be cool so give them a chance and you’ll be surprised.

THIIIIS.

All of these things.

Especially the deadline. If you don’t have a deadline thats way in advanced it’s not gonna get done by then. I am almost always taking on a ton of projects at once and sometimes need a break from it to: work on stuff for me, work on stuff for friends, search for jobs, be the work slave of parents, actually relax and try to relief stress, technical difficulties, researching on how to do stuff, ect.

Sometimes it’s done in a day. Sometimes it’s done literally a year later. But I always update the people I work with so they know I haven’t forgotten.

Do NOT rush your commissioner. Let them work at their pace and it will be worth it. Rushing them insures a rush job which will very likely make the quality decline.

All this is true. Also, ref sheets are the most important thing ever. I can’t stress that enough. They make the job A LOT easier (instead of having to compare 10 different pics between each other and see that everything fits, you just look at 1!!) If you plan in commissioning your character a lot, or even if its not yours (like from an anime or something) Either commission one or look for ref sheets of the show (because there are!).

Also i strongly suggest not using Instant Messaging. Information can be lost pretty easily there and it’s hard to come back to it. Use emails instead. The info stays there, and it’s easy to search for it. It’s also an excellent way to keep track of the descriptions, so if either the client or artist made a mistake, you can see the email threads and see who’s right straight away.

also pushy clients LOVE instant messaging. Pls no.

This post is really nice! :D

A lot of this stuff is really important! I don’t mind being asked to have something done by someone’s birthday if you ask me say… two weeks in advance. I can make that concession! But I’ve been literally asked the day before and I really can’t do that unless you’re going to make it worth my time!

Most of my commissioners are really good in the patience department though, I have to give them that. n.n

Dicy suggested a new S.o.t.S. format that I think would be better for everyone.

I’ll try it out next week and see what everyone thinks about it. In the meantime I’m going to move anyone who’s already paid for their spot to a special queue and we’ll see what we can do about that.

Not bad for my first sketch of Discord ever.
I don’t know why I waited this long. Also, as promised, Spike.

For XMarcus101X of their magical girl, Pretty Papilio (also known as Lillian Fields) bringing joy to the world with her songs of wonder and magic! <3
Don’t get much magical girl. I’ve been wanting to draw them more but this one is the first time I’ve actually done one in outfit, and goodness, those dresses are hard. XD

Big S.o.t.S. for NoEyes! Vididi finds herself in some extreme peril, dropping into the waiting maw of a mimic! One wonders how she’ll get out of this one!
(Pretty damn good job for two hours if I say so myself! I love Vididi! <3)

Hello everyone! It’s Friday, so once again, it’s time for…
Sketch on the Spot!
Now I’m going to be doing things a bit differently from here on out, so pay attention so that you know what to do!
First, what is Sketch on the Spot? Ever want a new character sketched up? Need an idea that you’ve been kicking around done on the cheap? Want to see your MMO character rendered in style? Or maybe you just want to get a profile picture or action picture of your favorite OC for an RP board? Well, I can do that! This is my effort to offer cheap commissions that are not only affordable, but worth your time and mine!
Commissions start out at black and white character commissions and can be upgraded from there. If you want extra, I can add color, small variantions (different color clothing, hat on/off, futa, extra accessories, etc.) and/or an extra character. Just limit two characters per commission since these are meant to be done quickly and on the spot.
So the prices are:
Black and White Basic: $10 (minimum)
Add Color : +$5
Add Variant : +$5
Add Character: +$5
(All prices USD)
Sounds pretty cool, huh?
Here’s what you do. (This is the part that’s completely new, so if you’ve been working with me for a while, this is where you’ll really need to pay attention!)
Step One: Inform me that you want on the sketch list! You can do this via e-mail, skype (if you have it), or note me on tumblr, Inkbunny or wherever. No information has to be exchanged at this time, just let me know you want on!
The list is HERE!
Step Two: Show up at the stream! This is my announcement of the stream, so below you should see when the stream is set to start!
Once the stream is under way, I’ll see who’s there and who is on the list, pick the next person in line and get started. Remember, It’s up to you to show up, not me to wait for you. I won’t go without you, though, so if you can’t make it, don’t worry! You can always show up later and I won’t take your name off the list, I’ll just pass over you to the next person who is present until you can make it.
Step Three: Tell me what you want! If you’re in the stream, I call on you, e-mail me or note me what you want me to do for that day. If I have any questions, I’ll ask in chat, but for the most part, just let me know what the subject and specifics for the sketch are going to be! I’ll let you know if there are any no-nos.
Step Four: Sit back and enjoy! I’ll draw your picture and you get to watch me do it. We can chill and listen to music and you can chat with me and the other stream-goers. Sounds fun, huh? ^_^
Step Five: Payment! Once the picture is done, I get paid. I’ll give you a tally of how much is owed and you paypal that amount to GrayscaleRain@GMail.com through paypal.
Just remember two things about this part.
First; No descriptions! Chances are I know who you are, and you can thank me in the chat. Paypal can get kind of pissy about the content you pay for so if you go about luridly describing what was drawn in the description, they can redflag my account. No one wants that to happen.
Next; Make sure to mark it as Goods & Services! Paypal wants their cut and the easiest way to keep them happy is to give it to them. I don’t care, that’s just the breaks and you aren’t helping anyone out by marking it as a donation. It’s one thing if it’s really a donation, but if you do this every week, someone is going to get suspicious.
Step Six: Picture! Once I get payment, I’ll send you the picture through the method of your choice, either e-mail, dropbox or skype or what-have-you. If you can’t afford to pay, try not to give the go-ahead! But if something happens, I’ll just hold onto the picture until everything is settled. If you’ve got something outstanding, though, and your name comes back around, then I’ll have to pass over you until we get it sorted out, so… yanno… don’t leave me hanging! ;o;
And tada! That’s it! Pretty simple despite the big, long-ass explaination.
I’m going to start with warm-ups at or around 8:30PM EST, (A little late today) so that means the stream starts in 60 minutes!
We’ll be going with Picarto.TV here, so you can catch it there, although we might use Livestream for backup in case something goes wrong with Picarto.

And that’s that! I’ll see you all there!
Let’s have a good time! It’s Friday night! ^_^
